Know your wants and needs for the sale and purchase of your new home
Selling your home can be tricky because you have to also be thinking about where you will live at the close of escrow. First list your priorities ? are you willing to take a little less for your home in order to make the sale go quickly and smoothly and get you into your new home? Or do you want to hold out in hopes of getting a little more but have to rent after close of escrow. Talk to your agent and work out a plan based on where you are comfortable.
Prepare your house for showing
Not having your house ready when it appears on the market is a mistake you can´t take back and it will likely cost you. When you throw the doors open to the public make sure you have removed all clutter, cleaned, painted and have done a basic spit and polish. You only have one chance to make a first impression. Don´t blow it.
